Welcome to Honeysuckle Originals, I'm MK! I am a full-time faith based artist based in Kansas City MO! I have been painting and creating art professionally for over 10 years and I am so blessed to do what I love full time!
How it started: I first knew I wanted to be an artist when I was 4 years old because of a beautiful mural depicting the story of Noahs Ark in my church nursery.
My passion for art grew until highschool where i got involved in set design and painting which ultimately lead to my first murals for another local high school.
From there I pursued a degree in animation and continued painting murals and creating custom work.
After graduating with my degree in covid I decided the last thing I wanted was to sit behind a computer and instead I pursued a career in fine art.
Not long after, live wedding and event painting came into the picture and what can I say? I fell in love!! Getting to capture the joy and energy of such an important day is so precious to me and I truly love getting to know my clients on a deep and lasting level.
When you comission me you aren't just getting a peice of art but a life long cheerleader and friend!
I am inspired by everyday moments and my passion is creating art that evokes a feeling of connection and belonging whether its for your bedside table or on display for the world to see!

-I am OBSESSED with Pride and Prejudice(2005 ofc),
-my guilty pleasure is rearranging and redesigning the house every three months,
- I'm a serious coffee addict so it's no surprise that my husband and I actually met in our favorite local coffee shop!
